Doc Dixon: Comedian/Magician

Doc Dixon: Part comedian. Part magician. 100% fun.

“You fooled us!” –Penn & Teller

“That’s a great trick!” –James Corden, host of The Late Late Show on CBS

“Doc is one of the truly great working magicians. He is inspiring on every level: a great technician, a hilarious performer, comedian, writer and all-around great thinker.” –MAGIC Magazine, the #1 trade journal in magic

For more than 25 years Doc Dixon has performed for comedy clubs, resorts and corporate events across the country. He has fooled Penn & Teller on the hit TV show Penn & Teller:Fool Us. He has performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden and has twice entertained at The White House.

When not traveling the world performing, Doc lives near Atlanta GA with his wonderful wife Bethany, six sons, three dogs, four rabbits, seven chickens, and a very confused cat.

Come see Doc Dixon perform here at Town Square Playhouse!

This show is for ages 13 and up.

1959 Pink Thunderbird

A Double Feature of One-Acts by James Mclure

Lone Star:
The play takes place in the cluttered backyard of a small-town Texas bar. Roy, a brawny, macho type who had once been a local high-school hero, is back in town after a hitch in Vietnam and trying to reestablish his position in the community. Joined by his younger brother, Ray (who worships him), Roy sets about consuming a case of beer while regaling Ray with tales of his military and amorous exploits. Apparently Roy cherishes three things above all; his country, his sexy young wife, and his 1959 pink Thunderbird.

Laundry and Bourbon:
The setting is the front porch of Roy and Elizabeth’s home in Maynard, Texas, on a hot summer afternoon. Elizabeth and her friend Hattie are whiling away the time folding laundry, watching TV, sipping bourbon and Coke, and gossiping about the many open secrets which are so much a part of small-town life.

Directed by Gordon Hinchen and Malik J. Ali
